Until a decision is made, the planned project cannot go ahead. Rather than leaving the space empty, this period becomes The Waiting Room.
The project lasts for as long as the wait does.

The space on Wolstraat in Antwerp is both a workspace and a presentation space. Independent projects, collaborations and commissions are developed here across art, signage and permits.
Architecture, use, audience, time and regulations can all determine what a project becomes.

WORKING WITH SYSTEEM D
Systeem d develops its own projects and works with artists, designers, brands, retailers, manufacturers, architects and organisations.
A project can begin on Wolstraat, but just as easily in a shop window, on a façade, in a building or in a public setting.
What is already there is the starting point. If regulations or permits are part of the situation, they enter the project from the beginning.
