An ongoing programme
Systeem d has an ongoing programme of independent projects, commissions and collaborations.
The space on Wolstraat is both a workspace and a presentation space, but projects can also be developed elsewhere.
The programme has three parts.
01 Presentation programme
Projects initiated by Systeem d.
They may begin with a place, material, object, technique, observation or existing situation, and are developed, tested and shown on Wolstraat or on site.
Some remain independent projects. Others open up to collaboration as they develop.
02 Commissioned Projects
Projects that begin with a specific question or brief from a brand, retailer, designer, manufacturer, organisation or other client.
The brief sets the starting point without fixing the final form.
Working from the site and its conditions, Systeem d develops an installation, presentation, signage, spatial intervention or another form of work.
03 Collaborations
Projects developed with external partners from the outset.
Artists, designers, manufacturers, brands, retailers, architects and other partners contribute their own knowledge, materials or context.
The collaboration is part of how the project takes shape.
