Independant projects from practice
The Presentation Programme brings together projects initiated by Systeem d.
An observation, place, object, material, technique or existing situation can start a new project. The outcome is not fixed in advance.
The Wolstraat space is used to develop, test, adjust and present the work.
Presentation as part of the work
Presentation is not simply the display of a finished work.
A shop window, interior, façade or external location can become part of the project as it develops. What happens when a work becomes visible from the street, occupies a space temporarily or meets existing architecture can change the work again.
A presentation can therefore be a test, an intermediate stage or a new version of a work.
An open programme
Projects in the Presentation Programme may remain entirely within Systeem d or involve other makers, manufacturers or partners as they develop.
The starting point comes from Systeem d. Anything needed later — a technique, collaborator, production partner, location or permit — follows from the project itself.
